This is my workshop, small but efficient Except for the 2″ x 6″ top beam spanning the roof, every single piece of lumber, nails, screws, plastic, stains, paint and hardware was recycled, repurposed or reclaimed. Even though the shingles were new, they were from a neighbor who was throwing them away because he had bought too many when he reroofed his house.
After dragging home scraps of material for more than 12 years, I built this shop back in the summer of 2004. I was forced by my doctors to take a three month vacation after my first heart attack and finally had some time to do something with all the stuff pilling up in the back yard.
I do want to thank My neighbor with helping me nail the shingles on the roof. The wife didn’t want me up on the roof in ninety degree heat Wives can be like that.
