Yes , These are our Papillon dogs and yes I’m one of those dog lovers. And no, we no longer raise them. The Mom and Dad are retired. But beware. If you are considering adopting a Papillon , even though they are a hearty breed for their small size and a very intelligent breed, these are very serious lap dogs. These dogs live an average of 14 to 15 years, most of which is spent in your lap or wanting in your lap. My favorite attribute for them is, for a small dog they are not at all yippee dogs. For those of you who have owned small breeds who bark incessantly , You know what I mean by the word YIPPEE!{ hint; think Pomeranian.}
